I did the north race cars coversion. In general it was very easy. The tough part was making my own brake line, I have never flared a brake line before, and bleeding the brakes. I had an air bubble in the line that would not budge so I took it in and had the shop purge the lines.
Do your homework and do lots of reading. Send me a PM or email and I'll send you the links I've found.

ive done it with the 1970 mustang parts - basically just need the spindles - everything else you can but brand new. if its on ur 68 - u wont have a problem with the idler arm - it will fit - 65-66 - u will have to change it. and yeah make new fittings and bend new lines. any other q's -let me know - ill try my best to answer them

I did it on my 65 got the kit form CSRP. If I had a chance to do it again I would go for the 13" cobra conversion from mustangsteve. About teh same price and much better stopping power.

Check out msutang steves webpage. Rotors and calipers loaded for about 329, All you have to do is find V8 druim spindles and buy the adapter plate. Boom cobra front disc brakes.

I checked it out..and im not sure about his conversion, but other ones like that say you have to use different rims with a certain offset. i understand you cant use 14" stocks but will any 17 or bigger work? on his site it really doesnt say anything about rims or offsets??? i really like the concept..and i would way rather have some new shit..

Any 17" rim. CAnt remmeber the offset requirments. If it stays stock where you need a 0mm offset you can just use a 1" wheel spacer. You can find rotors and calipers for about 350. Custom brackets are 300 not sure if that is in your price range or not but you will get way better stopping power and can run a myriad of brake pads.
I had to have custom pads made for the granada so I could auto cross.
