I disassembled a small chevy with a flat tappet hydraulic cam and neatly put them in a labeled container so I could return them to the same bore they came out of. Needless to say I tripped over the container throwing the lifters everywhere. Am I committed to buying new lifters now or can I put them in any order? It's a budget build up for a $400 truck so I am trying to spend as little as possible. Thanks

New lifters are a must, unless you're a gamblin' man. They are already conformed to lobes.

I know its a budget build, but new flat tappet lifters are about $75-$90 Just replace the lifters.

Thanks, I'd rather spend the $50 at Summit now than $150 later for a cam kit + gaskets + my time...
