MY 87 5.0 COUPE IDLE IREGULAR SOMETIMES...IT IDLE UP TO ABOUT 1500 RPM THEN BACK TO 800 THEN BACK 1500 AND SO ON..AND IT WILL DROP DOWN TO LIKE 500 AND WANT TO DIE...IT IDLES PERFECT SOMETIMES AT A STEADY 800 RPM..SOMEONE SAID IT WAS THE TPS?...ANY HELP WOULD BE APRECIATED

Check for vaccum leaks. Maybe one of hte little hard plastic vaccum lines is broken. Also, have you tried resetting the idle?

Do you own a voltmeter?....You need to check and make sure the voltage on your TPS is around .98 volts....

try and clean out the IAC near the throttle body.
