Topic: Anybody Try a 295/45/17?

I was wondering if anybody has tried a 295/45/17 on a 10" wide rim on a Foxbody, I was thinking on getting a set of Mickey Thompson Drag Radials in that size? Mickey Thompson website says it measures out to a 28x11.50 which I believe works out fine on a Foxbody.

Is this just for racing or do you plan to run them all the time? That sounds too tall though. Most everyone runs a 275-40 so the sidewall is 40% of 275mm. with the tire your looking at its 45% of 295mm.

I have ran the Mickey Thompson 275/40/17 with my 474 RWHP Coupe which worked fine, but I am thinking I will need more tire with my 650RWHP GT, I would like a little shorter than the a 295/40/17 but I havent found one and the 315/35/17 is shorter than the 275/40/17 but its alot wider. I will be barely driving it on the street.
