this isn't for a mustang, but i have a plastic gas tank that has a little hole in it. it's maybe about 1/8", very small. can it be safely patched up? my brother took it to a shop that specializes in plastic molding and such and they said that they can weld up the whole, using plastic of course. do you guys think it's a safe and good solution?

Yes it can be done and if done properly it will work out fine.

I would just get another gas tank. Probably find one in a wrecking yard for cheap.

I have fixed pin holes numerous times before using this method.

Rub a bar of soap over the hole... it will stop the leak! Clean the area, and use an 2 part epoxy of some sort for plastics. I have never done it on a plastic talk, but I epoxied a small thin magnet over the hole, and let it cure. Worked great. No need to buying a new tank.

Just a thought?
