SN95 shocks are 1" longer than Fox shocks, so especially if your car is lowered, you run more of a risk of bottoming out. That's why I used to put Fox shocks on lowered SN95s to get more bump travel.

I thought they were the same. Good advise, I'm lowering a 95 here soon.

You can use a set of shocks for an SN95 if they are design for a lowered car. You should have enough travel still. But, usually most guys run fox shocks on a SN95.

The bilstein struts (V36-4138-H3) are made for 87-04. There is no distinction. The housing on these struts is longer than 87-93 but shorter than 94-04
I personally HAVE and would NEVER AGAIN run 94-04 struts/shocks on a fox, ESPECIALLY a lowered fox.
FYI: I had about 1.25-1.5" of strut travel with my Bullitt struts and that was with 95 spindles (which have a lower strut mount than stock spindles) and MM CC plates (which have a higher upper strut mount than stock CC plates).
Bottom line, if you can help it, avoid 94-04 struts/shocks on a fox. [ December 15, 2006, 05:40 PM: Message edited by: Luke87GT ]
