Car is dropped 1 1/2". It is an 89 with 50k ORIGINAL miles and has stock shock/struts. The guy goes over a bump/pothole and the shocks/struts bounce a little (don't follow the road.) He cares more about a comfortable ride than a road race car.

What do you guys feel are the best strut/shock combo with that in mind?

Bilsteins offer fantastic ride quality and they have the most robust design out there. Robust price too [Wink] They will dampen everything from stock springs all the way up to 800lbs/inch front springs... Beyond that I would start looking into the MM valved Bilsteins.

I used the Monroe Sensatrack shocks and struts with Eibach springs. I got em from Pep Boys and they were fairly cheap. This is a good way to go if he doesnt want to spend a ton.

Three 540 Bimmers and a 5.0 Explorer.... got a Ford back in the stable!

It's time for the country to do what Obama's own father did.
