Right now I have 4.10s, 28" tires and a 150 shot. Would there be any gains going to 3.73s and 26" tires? I don't think so since I compensated for the 4.10s by going to 28"s.

26's with 3.73s and 28's with 410s are almost identical and there will be virtually no difference. 26's and 3.73s will give you just a tad more mph per rpm but its so slight its not even noticible, especially with low rpm motors. To give you an idea, with a 1:1 trans ratio (usually 3rd gear in autos) at 5000 rpms the 26/3.73 will give you only 2 mph more than 28/4.10. And its even less mph difference with a numerically higher trans ratio (lower gear for example 1st or 2nd). Stay with the 28/410. More sidewall and bigger footprint = more traction and better 60s. All these numbers can get confusing so I hope this makes sense. If not lemme know and I'll try to explain it in a different way. [ September 17, 2006, 12:58 AM: Message edited by: cummins ]
