Would a 275 be a little to big for a 15x8 draglight? Im running 265 now, but the drs are either 275 or 255. What size would be best for me?

I see alot of people running the 275's on 8 inch rim's so You should be OK. What kind of rubber are You going to buy?

275/50s fit fine, but only on a 5.5" backspaced wheel and possibly a little pounding on the inner fender.

Thanks, Im not sure yet. There was a thread around here somewhere. I think the nitto 555s I think were what most people liked.

If it's a daily driver then they will work OK. Do You take the car to the strip? I would consider the M/T drag radial's also.

Go with the MT DR if you want the most hook out of that size tire.

are they the street radials on this page? http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip.html Should I go with a 275/50, or a 275/60? My old bfgs were 265/50/15, and It rubbed a little. Now I have LCAs, so I can lift it a little Thanks for the help. [ June 01, 2006, 11:01 PM: Message edited by: Black88GT ]

Go with a 275/50. That will be a pretty tight fit on a fox. Sound's like You will be better off with the M/T drag's.

Why would you ask about 275/60/15 when you had rubbing problems with 265/50/15? Do you realize that 275/60/15's are 28" tall and wider? That's a huge difference not just a little. If you still have your bfgs why don't you slap them on with your new lift and measure how much clearance you have. Then make the tire size selection. And you really have to pay attention to backspacing when ordering wheels. But to answer your original question 275 will fit fine on an 8" wheel
