im about to get my clutch replaced this thursday. is it also time to replace the rear main seal? should i replace only if leaking?
im also thinking of upgrading the throwout bearing retainer to steel.
how much more harder is it to replace seal/retainer. will it be worth the time.
any advice is greatly appreciated.

I would only replace the rear main seal if it is leaking, otherwise, be happy!
the retainer is only 4 bolts and bolts to the front face of the tranny inside the bell housing, it would take only as long as taking those 4 bolts off then putting the new one in and tightening them, very quick and easy.

The retainer is a must. if the tranny is on the ground its easy. The stock one gets pretty ripped up. Make sure u grease the new retainer shaft for an easy slide.
