I have a 347 shortblock that I bought awhile ago. The compression is 10.5:1

I have 2k to spend on it, and im trying to decide what would be the best way to spend the money. Im getting heads forsure. I think im going to get the most expensive things that I need with this money and buy the cheaper/smaller stuff last since it will be easier to save for.

Right now im thinking about getting Edelbrock Vic jr heads, Edelbrock Victor 5.0 intake, XE282HR cam, and a set of rockers. This way I will have the motor almost assembled. What do you guys think? What would be the smartest way to spend this money? My goal is to have a little better than average N/A 347.

A "better than average 347" would have ported heads, intake, and a custom cam for you application.

The smartest way would be to buy all new parts instead of used since used could be damaged, etc.

I think you could easily find a used Victor EFI 5.0 intake around your parts along with heads and rockers under 2k IMO.

Don't forget the ARP hardware, nice gaskets and sealant as well.

I think what im going to do is get the Vic jr's and Vic 5.0 intake, and have a custom cam made. I can get one made for cheaper than the XE282HR costs so I may as well. I have the gaskets, head bolts, and pushrods. I just need lifters, timing gears and chain, and rockers. I want the AFR's but I would have to get the valve spring upgrade and the heads would end up being $1500. The Vic Jr's will be $1300
