I just finished my 5 lug conversion on my 87 5.0 and i running a front cobra set up with drums in the back is anybody running the same set up? If you are what brake booster are you running? My brakes feel a little stiff could it be because of my stock brake booster? Do i need to switch it out for a sn95 booster for a softer pedal feel? Thanks

You need to drive it around the neighborhood and see how it feels. A squishy or soft pedal usually means air in the lines. Many new cars have a power assist component that allows less pressure to be placed on the brake pedal by the driver, but our old fox's do not. New from the factory, the fox's had a somewhat stiff pedal. After years of use and abuse, the boosters wear out etc... and the pedal becomes softer. Some of us are used to that softness. However, many prefer the stiffer pedal. I have an SN-95 booster with my 5-lug conversion and my brake pedal is much stiffer than my foxbody unit was. I like it a lot.

Bleed your brakes, make sure you have adequate fluid, and check to make sure the new brakes aren't dragging.

By the way, which type of cobra brakes did you get? What year car did they come from?
