Whats up everyone, I was driving about 60mph on s/b 101 in san jose about 2 miles from my exit, when my battery light goes on, I lose power steering AND brakes! There is smoke blowing back from the hood and the tail. I managed to muscle it to the shoulder without causing a disastrous wreck. I check under the hood and the belt on the blower is shredded and thrown. There is coolant all over the engine bay and the back of the car.
Does anyone else have any problems throwing belts? I have a new idler pulley and steel tensioner. Is there anything else I can do to fix this?
I've just about had it.

What system are you running? If it's a ProCharger, the small roller beneath the alternator could be your problem. If it's a Vortech/Paxton unit, check the bracket bolts, as one could have backed off, tilting the head unit.
Check the ribs on ALL the pulleys. You could have a bent/distorted pulley causing your problems.
