Just like the title says... Almost like a t-Top however instead of a T, just removing the entire width of the top while retaining the front and rear windows and their support frames. I know the top of vehicle provides support for the car so it doesn't flex so I would have to re-enforce with a cage and/or bracing on the bottom of the chasis like they do with convertables. Does anyone have experience doing this? Know of any good references to learn more about this? I would like it so the top can go back on the vehichle and latch in place while providing full water seal.
Also - does anyone know what type of cage would be able to provide the best structual support without cluttering the interior with anymore tubing than necessary? I have all the equipment to weld this in, so that is not an issue.

Do the DAMN thing, I like things out of the ordinary.... I think if you do it right it will look sick, with the right paint/rims/interior and overall appearence of the car, It might just work out.... TTT

You are nuts! lol
These Mustangs are a dime a dozen. You can buy an 87-93 vert or a T-tops for $3K at anytime. Why fuss around with something that will almost CERTAINLY turn out crappy.
Unless u like fab work and are truly good at something like this.

Ha - I dont understand why there has to be negativity. Im just coming to ask for suggestions on the parts that I don't know about. I enjoy doing fab work, my brother does fab work as well and autobody is a hobby of mine that I am constantly trying to learn more about.
And yes, I do want to do this because I think it will look good, that is my opinion, and yes I am refering to the same setup that Vettes have. If anyone would like to provide constructive feedback, please assist - I certainly appreciative it.
If you do not have constructive comments, please hold them to yourself. [ March 10, 2006, 08:17 PM: Message edited by: BlacksheepMod50 ]

When I do it, I will for sure post pictures. This particular mustang is my experiment mustang - I only paid 1200 for it and the body is pretty well destroyed. The way I look at it, is that I can do whatever I've wanted to do to a car in the past without a concern of "am I going to mess it up?".
Take care
