Author Topic: Is there any way to check for a crushed hyd. roller lifter? 88DroptopGT ¯ Member # 2535 posted                              I was wondering if there is any way to rebuild a hydraulic roller lifter or inspect it to see if it's crushed? I wondering since I'm doing a H/I swap and new lifters are $100. They worked fine previously but I don't wanna rip it out again just in case one lifter is fubar. Do you still have the lifter hold down thing? The "spider", as many call it? If you do, then the $100 lifters will work fine. If you DON'T, then you need to get lifters with guide bars.
