I think it does. I have parked a car on empty and tried to start it a few days later, but there wasnt enough gas to make it run.

Why do you ask though?

For the very same reason you just said lol.

6 weeks ago I ran out of gas in front of my house. I put less than a gallon in it and pulled into my garage. I've started the car twice since then, the firts time it ran alright then died after two min. The second time it wouldn't stay running. So I'm assuming the fuel evaperates to some extent.

If you have a leak in your tank it will evaporate quicker. Thats why theres that smog canister under the hood its for evaporation of the fuel.

So if the lines to that tank are cracked or not sealed well it'll evaperate quicker? Is it the canister up front on the passenger side? I think one of the hoses on the was completely off at one time. I thought that was the charcol can though,...are they one in the same? [Embarrassed]

it takes the same amount of fuel to start you car as it does to run it for 5 min. If you started it a couple of times that might have sucked up some of the fuel as you had less that a gallon to begin with.
