Well, I got my new and shiny Racecraft Chromemoly K-Member and A-Arms last week. They are awesome looking pieces! The welds look like art-work, and the powder coating is flawless. I am not entirely satisifed though. Despite the assurance of Mark at Racecraft, I think the inner A-Arm mounting tabs look a little week for auto-x and road race applications. I am wondering if anybody here has had any experiences with these pieces in an avenue other than drag racing? These pieces look like they would make an awesome drag-race setup! The bag of K-member bolts, nuts and washers is almost as heavy as the K-member itself. Maybe 20lbs...probably less. I have just heard way too many horror stories of aftermarket k-members snapping the mounting tabs right at the welds, and the inner tabs on this k-member aren't even gusseted. Anyway...not sure I am going to run this k-member after-all. Might just pony up the $4,500 and go for the Maximum Motorsports Grip Box. God that's a lot of dough!!! Any feedback would be appreciated. I'm not going to "race" this car, but I would like to go to the occasional track day with it.

Some day I'll finish it.

Casey,

We have had MANY oppotunitites to carry other K-Members over the last year and have always declined. The only 2 K-Memnbers we feel comfortable selling is Griggs and Maxiumm. A broken K-member at high speed is something you do not wat to mess around with as you can get hurt seriously OR hurt someone else. Get Griggs or Maximum only. Since you are in Santa Rosa drop by Griggs facility and you will see what they are all about. If you want a quote on Griggs or Maximum product please let us know as we sell alot of both lines and can take care of you.

A $4,500 setup sure sounds like overkill for the "occasional track day" to me.

If you really are that paranoid, reinforce the damn thing or get it the welds checked out by a welder.
