I have a 91 Gt with H/C/I. When i start it up it acts like a damn carburator. I have to press the gas for like 20 sec to keep it from dying. Once i do that it seems to run fine. Any ideas as to what could be wrong with it? Also whenever I am driving and turn on my a/c and downshift to come to a stop my car dies. anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing that to happen? Or do i just own a bucket ass mustang [Big Grin] any help would be appreciated

ps I tried to adjust the throttle body but it did the exact same thing the next day. I even disconnected the battery and everything

Do you have an e cam? If so, you will need a Idle Air Control spacer plate to help with the rolling idle.
If your vss (speed sensor) is disconnected or dead, your car will have a low idle when coasting to a stop with the clutch pushed in. The pcm uses the vss signal to keep the idle up on decel to prevent stalling.
Here's a link for the plate, but you can probably get it cheaper at your local Ford dealer.

If you have a big idle surge, it will most likely solve your problem.
