when I put my stang together, I installed a Baumann shift kit in the aod. I also swapped in their boost valve replacement. well that boost valve got stuck, causing the trans to shift super early and softly. I took it to a trans shop and the guy drove it around, found that it was shifting into all gears. he said that there were 2 versions of AODs, one had a "3-4 accumulator," the other didn't. I took the stock valvebody from the old trans i had swapped out, and put it in the trans in the car. the old trans did not have the accumulator, so i took it out. the trans then shifted, but sometimes it shifts oddly. like if you gas it in OD, it takes a good 2-4 seconds for the trans to downshift to 3rd and the car to actually move. I've checked the fluid level and it's fine. could the whole swapping valvebodies and removing the accumulator cause this? the trans also has a (used) 3k stall converter in it.

now I'm going to sell the car and i'd like to reinstall the valvebody with the shift kit in it. would i screw thigns up if I installed it without also installing the accumulator?

thanks for any help!
