Ram clutch with Sintered iron on one side. 11", 10 spline
Spec clutches grab a little too hard. Centerforce probably isn't going to be up to the task of holding 500RWTQ at 4000lbs with slicks. (been there, blown that clutch)

I would recommend our Kevlar clutch. It is capable of supporting over 700RWHO & 700RWTQ. We have installed no less than 20 of these into 03/04 Cobra and NOT had "1" come back. We have a few cars in the shop that have them now and you are more than welcome to check out the feel. We have never had anyone tell us to take it out once because they were dissatified with the unit. [ November 12, 2005, 01:18 PM: Message edited by: Apexmotorsports ]

upgrade to a 26 spline shaft and you will have less troubles if you have good traction. The new DFX centerforce looks like it might work very well, they have improved the hub design over alot of the other clutches out there. Nicely priced also, but since they are new it will take some time to get a lot of feedback. The Exedy is a nice clutch but the price is up there.

Although I have no doubt the specs hold the power. (& they do!) The problem lies in how hard the shock the driveline....which breaks parts. I speak from expereince as my Tremec was destroyed from a 'hard hit' shifting into 3rd on the street. There were no teeth left on 3rd gear.
PM Yellow94GT & see what clutch disc he's going with. He bought one that a lot of the NMRA racers use. They give a little before they grab hard. Match the disc with a spec or centerforce pressureplate & you should be good to go. You could even opt for the reduced weight Spec pressure plate if you wanted every last bit of reduced rotating weight.
I also agree that a 26 spline input shaft is not a bad idea. They are easy to install when doing a clutch swap. [ November 13, 2005, 12:49 PM: Message edited by: 93PONY ]
