so.. the lights were working but they stopped a couple of days ago.
I've checked the bulbs.. but that's as far as i can get since i don't have any tools.
what fuse should i check? i'll have to check everysingle one unless someone knows already.
I'll be replacing the headlights tomorrow. anything else i should check?

I know it's a stupid question but be patient.. no flaming please..
 -
The inside lights don't light up when the switch is in the on position, but they work when i activate the blinkers.
The ones in the middle light up ok,
the ones on the exterior don't light up at all.
Thanks a lot.
If i don't get this fixed by wednesday then i'll miss my last trip to infineon... please help... [patriot]

Sorry, i just want to know what to look for tomorrow when i try to figure this out..
i used my friends test light and there is no power at the end of the connection to where the bulb would go...
[Frown]

it might be the switch, i though that there was no power going to the lights at all, so if it does come one as a turn signal, but doesnt turn on with the switch it must be the switch

I wouldn't replace the headlights. maybe if just 1 didn't light up, but it should intrigue you that all of them are out of commision and then at the same time. Do you have a volt meter? I'm guessing it's gonna be a fuse or the switch.

i'm not replacing the headlight becuase of that..
I'm replacing them with newer headlight covers ...
I think it might be a fuse.. or a cable that's cut [Frown]
I don't have a voltemeter so that makes it a bit harder.
Thanks.
i'll keep you guys updated.

pd: my car is your basic hci set up.

ok.. i'm back.. all fuses are ok.. the only one that did something was fuse number 4.. but that had to do with thet headlight.. not the little lights.

I used a voltemeter on the switch and all the wires have power exepct for the black wire(i assume it's ground) so.. i guess the switch is in working condition..
What else should i check?

John..
i just did the headlight swtich test.
This is what happened.

A(s) are working fine
B(s) don't come on when i turn on the switch but work when i do the signal thingy..
C(s) just don't work.

when i did the highbeam test..
Only A lights up brighter, the other ones are still dead.
does that mean that it is the switch?

Ok, if you checked the switch (and not just checked voltage..you physically installed another switch) then check the grounds at the radiator support next. These will typically become damaged due to being directly next to the battery. The other one is next to the upper radiator hose (pass side). Check the black wire at the switch via OHM'ing it out; ensure the ground is good all the way to the switch.
Just because there is power, doesn't mean the switch is good. [Wink]

Thanks John.
I actually used my friends switch.
His work fine in his car but still does not fix the problem in mine.
I'll check the ground locations you just gave me.
I'll be back in with results in a bit.
