It's the T-56 itself ....a lot better than TR-3650 but still notchy!
Now with the MGW shifter it's really short and notchy

if you hang out on svtperformance and ask around you'll realize that it's only a matter of time before the t.o.b. goes bad. some cars show signs at as low as 10k miles and some others at well over 40k. Mine had to be replaced at 20k.. luckily i was still underwarranty and had the tranny replaced while they were at it. somehow my whole tranny broke..i don't know how that could have happened.
Good luck.

I''m sure you could try and it would depend on which dealer you brought it to.
I bet they'll have a tech inspect it and if it isn't showing signs of they probably wouldn't but on the other hand they may not even care since there is a TSB for it and may just hook ya up.
If not try changing the fluid out. Some people say RP syncromesh others say Amsoil while others say GM syncromesh with friction modifier but they are all debatable. I've yet to try any of the above.

Tremec basically tells you to use the GM Sycromesh in there tranny's. I have been using it in my car and with alot of track miles on it, its still pretty smooth.
The T-56 feels notchy for a while, it gets better in time as it breaks in, but still more notchy then a T-45.
