ok just replaced the fuel sending unit on my 97 ranger. took the gas tank down instead of taking off bed. anyways fuel gauge is working fine now but everytime i try and put in gas, the gas pump clicks like the tank is full and spits out gas but its not full. well i talked to some people and they told me to check if the gas hose from the fender to the tank was being pinched but its not. i was thinking if there was like air in the tank that needed to be released but im not sure. i can fill it up but i have to keep stopping to let the gas settle and the damn thing takes forever, its a nuisance. any suggestions/advice? thnx

Air would'nt build up, make sure thr filler hose is not soft and not twisted or pinched. If the hose is really soft gas vapors could cause it to collapse at times.
