Speedometer just went out on my 1991, how can i check or fix this? oh yeah.... can i use my frieds harmonic balancer in his 91 gt on to my 91 lx coupe?

see if the speedo gear is chewed up, then try replacing the vss sensor(on the passenger side of the tran). the speedo gear is attachted to the vss sensor.
and if your friend's is a stock replacement balancer it will work
