i can get the gears meshed and everything, but it just feels like the dist is bottoming out before it gets flush, i can still see the top seal on the distributor, cant figure out how to get it all the way down, thanks any help is appreciated im trying to get my car running also if someone knows how to put pics up on the site i could probably get somepictures.. thanks, chris

it may not be engauging the oil pump drive shaft fully,if it's in the right place,then bump the motor over,usually it will pop into place!

When you get it down that far just turn the motor over by hand and the dist will drop the rest of the way in.
