My msd 6AL is making a clicking noise when I put on the key to on position.The needle on my tach goes to 4,000 or 5,000 rpm and the car will not start.Does this mean this box is gone?

Try bypassing it and see what happens. Does the motor crank?

Yes the motor cranks but will not start.

Any mechanics around Tracy ca. that can look at my car to see what is wrong with it?

Bypass it...
MSD boxes apparently die alot, so i would be surprised if its toast. And FYI when the car is running, the MSD boxes do make a clicking sound
