I started to attach the heads to my new 306 when i noticed that the (used)GT40's already bolt holes had "insert" washers already on the head, but had 3 or four of them missing. I will be using ARP head bolts, these also came with there own washers.

Do i use both washers? or just the ones that came with the heads? What about the head holes that are missing the insert. Here are some pics of the head and the bolts that i have.

Thanks for any info!

Yup, use them both. The head washers are to make up for the different headbolt sizes (302's are 7/16's..351's are 1/2"), the ARP washers are for the bolts themselves.

Unfortunately, you'll have to buy the whol set...unless someone here on the board has a few extras. Summit sells them as a set. [Frown]
