I was wondering how to adjust my fuel pressure on my 88 5.0 I have a adjustable fuel pressure regulator how many pound should I set at or what is the best way to adjust it to get the most out of the motor thanks for any info

What kind of regulator do you have and do you have a gauge to see what the pressure is at? The way you adjust the fuel pressure is:

-Turn on your car
-Disconnect the regulators vacuum line
-Loosen the nut on the thread at the top of the regulator
-Using an Allen head wrench, turn the threaded fitting clockwise for more pressure and opposite for less pressure. -Tighten down the locking nut
-Re-connect the vacuum line
-Go drive around and see if the car feels better than before.


Without a gauge it is going to be very hard to determine exactly what PSI you are running at. But the "driving around" method always seems to work too [Smile]

i have a gauge to see that its set at i was wondering with the vacuume line off what psi should i start at im not sure what kind it is you adjust it with a Conmen screwdriver thanks for the help
