Well took my cobra in today for what I thought was a sticky lifter, well it ended up being a bad rod. Now I need to have the motor rebuilt or replaced, the place wants $6030 for part and labor on a ReMan engine with 3 years 36K mile.
Anyone help, any better prices for a built motor or a 03 Cobra motor??

www.stangparts.com Has a 99 DOHC motor for $3750 + shipping (probably about $300). That's all I can think of right now.

Try to call some junk yards in the area. I would probably try something like E+J auto wreckers in Hayward. Or- You could also look at www.karkraft.com usually they sell complete and used motors. Hope this helps. Good luck
