Helo. Does anyone have a Battery Recomendation for a car battery for a fox body mustang ?

Regular batteries like from kargen, autozone, etc die out fast or dont have enought power.

Its a reular V8 5.0 liter mustnag lx convertible 1983 to 1993 conversion. Thanks for the help.

FYI: The Optima Blue Top with dark gray side=same as Optima Red Top. That is the one I use [patriot]

EDIT: The difference between the blue and red top is that they blue is a marine battery(so it has another set of smaller posts). The specs on the batteries are the same though.

I have found that Optima has held the best charge for my application. Auto zone sells them.

Genesis G16. (the one that gets relabeled Dyna-Batt which voids it's OEM warranty.)

13lbs vs. 40 and works great.

I have seen Optima Red Tops at Costco for a decent price. I can't recall offhand, but I made a mental note the next time I need one replaced.

You would only need yellow top if you plan to run a stereo, since they are deep cycle batteries.
