how do you know if your fuel pressure regulator is bad. i have an adjustable one and when at idle with vacumm connected and reved passed 1k rpm, it starts dropping from 40 to about 36psi. is that normal? then, when at idle and i unplug the vacumm line, pressure rises. i think that part is normal but not the drop at high rpm. anyone run into this same problem?

Sounds normal...

You test the FPR by making sure the fuel pressure changes when vacuum changes...You also wanna make sure there is no fuel leaking from the vacuum port in the FPR....
