What size fusible link would I want to install to limit current to 60 amps? I need to install a fusible link or circuit breaker in-line to my electric fan. I have a 12ga fusible link lying around from a Fox alternator harness.... ?

the only way to limit current is create resistance... i.e a resistor
what rating is the alt? what rating is the fox fuseable link in the harness?

no no, not a resistor. I need a fuse-type setup for the fan, should it freeze a bearing or something, to keep it from catching on fire. I'm using a stock-type fan on the radiator and don't want to start a car-b-que.
I don't have any details on the fusible link, it just says 12ga. The fox alternators were less than the SNs though, so under 130a but Im not sure exactly where or even if a fusible link will work my situation; never used one before other than with stock alternator wiring.
