Im really need some DR's to cut my 1/4 mile to mid 13's. Are Nitto triple 5R the best and how much would they run about...any other tire suggestions? I want to get them by the end of next month!

Also when i do get them with 3:73 gears should i be lauching around 2k still or should i up that to 4k and dump the clutch?

thanks

My feeling is what ever brand you can get the best price on. I am assuming you have 17" wheels or are you using a different diameter?

the best drag radial to get is the new Mickey Thompson, it is by far the most extreme drag radial out! You want to improve your E.T put a set of those on.

I would leave the tires you have on there.
Buy a set of v6 wheels, and mount some 9.5" ET streets. You will really hook up.

You won't hook as well on the street as you do at the track when you drive with these tires on the street you will have them upwards around 30 psi for tread life. At the track you will drop them to 15-18 psi and do a huge second gear burnout that is required to properly heat them and make them hook. I don't think these tires are cpable of doing what you want them to do or what it shounds like you want them to do. My advice would be to get an extra set of wheels with some ET streets. If you stick with Drag radials expect to be buying tires often and having trouble in wet areas when the traction fades. If you do go with the DR's the Mickey T's are great but hard to come by. BFG's hook well but lose tread life very quickly. I've seen Nitto's hook up well and last a little longer. Nitto's would be my choice here but I do not recommend a Drag Radial to drive around on everyday [patriot]
