Does anyone know of a good place to get a custom chip burned for me to turn off my automatic tranny functions? Thank you.

Byron is very good (www.racesystems.com). I would also recommend Brian at Apten Performance.

Both of these guys know what they are doing but Byron is local. Brian can burn a chip for you and send it to you. Reburns are free when you send it back to him.

I don't know if Byron will just burn you a chip without a dyno run. Most likely he will.

I went through Brian at Apten (even though I have a credit through Byron for selling him all my old stock parts cheap). Brian at Apten originally burned a chip for my Explorer (three times to get the tune right due to CA 91 octane gas) and then I decided that the Mustang needed the chip more than the Explorer. I sent it back to him and he totally changed the chip, burned it for my Mustang (based on my Apex dyno run) and sent it back to me...all for the original price. I can not recommend him any higher (though I know Byron come highly recommended too).

Just another option for you. Tell him I sent you.

Sean.

See Bryon at Apex. I've hated my aode since I bought the car, but he totally fixed the shifting of the tranny. I never put the car on a dyno. He just drove around with me taking notes, then he made changes on how the car shift at light throttle, part throttle and WOT. I used to drive around in perpetual bogg, now it's a new animal. Byron knows what he is doing. [worship]
