I need to know which ignition and which type of nitrous setup i need. My car is going to be a 306 victor jr head and intake, not sure which cam all other bolt ons. My car should make in the 320-340RWHP range and im going to put nirous on it. I want to know which ignition module to go with. I want to launch on the bottle, I dont want to hit a button. Should i get an msd windows switch where it turns on at a certain rpm? WIll it activate if im revving my car to luanch? I want it to activate as soon as i let the clutch out. I want to get the ignition that goes with the nitrous controler i have.
Any help is appreciated.

victor jr, as in carb or efi, they make both
and what block are u on, if ur on a stock block, a 200 shot will be pushing the limits, a 150 would be perfect, just tune it right

i wouldnt put a switch on the clutch, i would put the switch on like normal, so it engages at WOT, so if u launch at 4.5k and bog u wont have a nitrous backfire
so once u launch and get going and hit WOT, then it activates and ur gone

if u have carb or efi, i can hook u up with anything u want with brand new NX nitrous for a hair above used prices, and if u have ur heart set on a clutch activation i can do that too, i just dont recommend it

Thanks for the reply buddy. No i do not want a clutch switch LOL. The reason i was asking because i was thinking about getting the msd windows switch and i was wondering if it woder activate at the rmp even though i was moving. Do you think i should just go with WOT switch? My car is going to be on 150-200 shot
I know the limits of the block and im going to tune it myself. I was just wondering what would be the best way to activate the nitrous and still work with the ignition module. Which ignition module would you recommened for me? MSD 6al? Thanks again. Im in southern CA how much would shipping be? And how much for the bottle warmer?

i still dont know if u are carb or efi, it makes a different on the wot switch

the bottle warmer will be $189
a genx2 packahe is $320 (bottle heater, gauge, blowdown tube, fuel pressure switch, purge)

i would use a wot switch for activation, and maybe a window switch just to make sure u dont hit the rev limiter with the nitrous on

shipping would be about $15

and for the ignition module, an 6al would work great, get a soft touch rev limiter among other things
but if u have the cash, get the new msd digital 6, because it has 100 more features than the 6al, mainly 2 step capabilities, and it has a built in retar function, so when u hit the nitrous the msd box can take up to 9* of timing out for nitrous, so u can run more timing all the time and then just have the box retard it for nitrous, so more power NA, and the same good power on nitrous, but the box is 300 new, so it has its ups and downs

ok, u have efi
2 choices to make

on the wot switch- either u can use the standard wot switch that comes with the kit that activates by a button hitting ur throttle linkage
or u can get a tps switch that senses when u hit wot using electronics, just tap into a wire, no setting a switch on the linkage

the other option, nx makes 2 nitrous kits for efi ford, a standard kit 50-150shot, or an efi race kit 100-250 shot
my standard kit is on sale right now at a suoer low $465
my price on an efi race kit is $580

my setup uses a microswitch that has a pretty long arm (comes with the NX kit I believe) which I rigged to the gas pedal so that only WOT activates it (ok really about 95% but I prefer that over only 100% WOT for reliability down there). I found a convenient place to mount it under the dash on the factory bellcrank setup and I wired that in. No way for me to activate N20 unless it's matted. So if I want to launch the car "on motor" I just remember to never go above like 3/4 throttle (real easy to do) when launching it, and then I can easy into full throttle when the traction is there.
