So today I finally drove my car to work. The roads over here have been chewed up for months and its been f'n dirty, bumpy and holes everywhere. So Anyway I leave for lunch and decide I want to leave a nice thick patch of scratch on the newley paved road. I take off out of the drive way and leave two nicely even, thick, Juicy streches of tread. I assumed I had left only a one legger because the last two burn outs I did were that way but today it was 'posi' so my question is,..why don't I get posi each time? Rearend specialists said my clutches were good when I got my gears put in but I get one leggers more than not. Just curious. Thanks

If your friction discs are in good shape, then you do not have enough preload in your clutch pack. That can be checked as a function of "break away" torque, which is the amount of torque needed to get one axle to turn independant from the other, and can be measures with a quality dial type torque wrench if you have a flange to go on your axle. Not enough preload can be a result of weak springs or a worn differential case.

Yeah, accelerating around a right hand turn will cause only the right tire to spin.

actually yesterday I was making a slight left turn when leaving the parking lot at work and got posi. And I notice at red lights going strait I'll get the one leggers? BUT turning right I'll also get the one leggers...
Posi left One right One strait (sometimes)
I'm thinking raod condtion and tire quality can play a factor in this too?
