My friend is wanting to do a conversion on his 91 gt and wants my help. I need to know what I need to know on how to do this. Tomorrow he wants me to concentrate on doing the rear end. I've heard that you can use left axle shafts from the 85-90 Ford Ranger to change to the 5 lug. Is this true, and what other vehicles will swap into the mustang??? Will the 94-95 5 lugs fit into the older 8.8's??? Thanks a lot!

Driver's side Ranger/BroncoII axles or passenger side Aerostar axles.
The 94-98 GT axles will fit but they are longer and will require that the rear be converted to disc brakes.
You can learn all about it by reading the article that I wrote on the 5-lug conversion. Click on the link to my web page in my sig. At the bottom of the first page is a link to the article.

You can get two axles and two 5 lug drums from FRPP for $200. I would go that way because of new parts.
