This may be a silly question to you pro's out there but:
I just gave my Chilton's a glance and the front cover shows a 94-98 cobra with a running pony at the nose and the gt/v-6 style hood (no scoops)
has anyone else seen this as a (or pre)production model, or is it a canadian model? Or did chilton's make a goof?

94/95 mustangs all had the same hood and i think all 94-98 mustangs have the pony in the grill

I thought all the cobra models came with the scoops on the hood...hmmm
and I thought all the cobras came with w cobra in the grill area?

Nope.
94-95 Cobras had the standard hood. Cobras come with the pony in the grill. Many people add the snake though.

i thought all cobras came with scoops and had the cobra in the grill though?

Sean90GT's right again....94-95 Cobra's have the same hood as the V6 and GT.....The 4.6 96-98 Cobra's have the hood scoops...
NO Mustangs came with the Cobra grill insert from the factory....Any Cobra you see with insert has been added....
I have a 93 Cobra horse in my grill, its a little smaller and looks better...

I dont know much about building motors...but I DO know the answer to this.
1994-1995 Cobra's had the same hood as the GT/V6...no scoops
1994-1995 Cobra ALSO has a V6 bumper that reads MUSTANG....not MUSTANG GT...or COBRA
1996-98 Cobra's have the different hood and the rear bumper that reads COBRA
No cobra's in those years come with a snake for the front grill unless people swap them which is extremely common. They just have the running horse.

I don't know how to explain this to all of you, once and for all, but the 94/95 Cobras had the same hood as the GT's and V6's, no scoops....
