'90 Crown Vic 351 (9:1 compression?), 93 Cobra GT-40s w/ 1.7 RRs, Edelbrock Performer 5.0 intake, 70mm TB/EGR, lightning cam (non-roller) and possibly an S-trim, depending on $$$ I might sell the kit I already have. I splurged on heads today. N/A I think I'll be seeing around 320+ hp and maybe 360++ tq, boosted.... 500? who knows. Im gonna drill my oil pan for the SC just in case, before it goes on the engine, and if I do run boost it'll just be the stock 6-8 psi since my pistons are keith black hyperpathetics.

Honestly, somewhere around 290-295. It's a TORQUE combo, as the Lightning cam is about the same as a stock 5.0 cam. Wanna really wake it up? Throw an E cam in there, or something similar. You can run all the boost you want with hypu' pistons, as long as the A/F ratio is cool..I was well over 10 psi for a year, and when I tore the 302 down, not a hint of detonation. Put it together right, the first time, you'll have zero problems later. (Key the "well then John, you can put this one together too!" comment)

sorry john but u cant just throw an e cam in that block, i had an x cam and u cant use standard size roller lifters, u have to either use a retro cam with a smaller base circle or use link bar lifters, i tried, i know since it was my motor, i know it was urs but u never put a standad cam in it, it just wont work without spendin a nice chunk of change

He and I were looking at PAW's ad in a current 5.0, there are some hydraulic solid cam/lifter packages in there for around $100 that closely resemble b-cam specs. Might go that route, need to do more research first.

As for the tranny, I was going by what I was told when it was bought. I never ran the numbers nor did I tear into it. What killed that tranny was lack of oil, a 18 y.o. who thought he was John Force, and it being passed around through more people than Jenna Jameson. TTT for your post there Cheap! Lemme know if ya need any assistance or recommendations.
