Author Topic: idle problem drews50 CAFords OG Member # 2670 posted                                 okay, i hope someone can help me out with this...i just got my car back with a brand new 306 with stage III polished and ported heads, gt-40 intake, mass air, throttle body, comp cam with comparable specs to an e cam and it doesn't want to idle. even after driving it for awhile, it will still surge and die unless i give it gas, then sometimes it will stay alive and lope nicely, stay that way for a minute or two, then start to die, surge, almost die, surge, etc. until it dies. do i need a chip of some sort or what? i am pretty desperate since i paid good money for this engine and it won't stay alive. thanks in advance -------------------- *shiftylx* 2013 Race Red 5.0 "Lucy" 1967 Lime Gold 289 coupe "Ethel" Posts: 2457 | From: phoenix | Registered: Apr 2003  |  : Stimson _ Member # 51 posted                              What MAF and injectors do you have?
