here's what I did:

the EGR comes throught the middle of the heads on 86-93. In the felpro-1250 intake gasket kit the actually have these carbon-thick type plugs that fit perfectly in the head over the EGR port. use some RTV and it will seal perfectly once you put the intake on.

From there you can disconnect the coolant lines (I just ran a fuel line and bypassed the EGR spacer) to run the TB area a little cooler.
