what battle boxes are. The 5 W's and the how. I have seen them in catalogs and seen them thrown around on the board from time to time. From what I gather and understand they help with traction. Just a question of curiousity. Thanks.

just another thing to worry about when you add more ponies .
if you haven't notice already? foxbodys are tack welded all over. you need torque boxes or battle boxes to keep your axle ripping lose from the car
and its happens.and when it does its very expensive to fix right

battle boxes are steel reinforcements that weld or bolt around ur stock torque boxes, if u dont know where the torque boxes are, they are where the upper and lower controls arms mount to the body
there are better terms to be used but that is how i can explain it

If you really want to know what they car get a 200 shot of nitrous and a pair of slicks, Weld your spider gears together and Drop the clutch at about 6k, Now once you look under the car where your rear end used to be there should be two obvious steel boxes that are ripped out. Those are them. [Razz]
