With stock heads and intake, those are too big of injectors and too big of a throttle body to switch to. You will kill power with that combo [Eek!]

The stock intake has a 60MM opening, so the 70MM TB will do nothing for you.
Injectors are a waste of $$$ untill you reach ~300hp. I'd hold off on the Mass-air untill the injectors are needed (IE, heads)...
The crank pully is a good idea though!
The E will definately wake up the car, but I'd also suggest long-tube headers & an off-road X to match....& some gears if you don't already have them.

When you do heads, things get expensive, but the HP is WELL worth it!
Heads: AFR165's
Intake: Edlebrock performer
Cam: Call me
Roller rockers: 1.6's because I can make larger profile cams with these.
You'll also need injectors, mass-air, TB, pushrods, & ~$100 in gaskets.

Look for a used intake, TB, mass-air, injectors, etc. If you buy used heads, chances are you'll end up spending more then new after everything is checked out at a machine shop.

You could, but you'd be missing out on some serious HP/TQ.
The stock lower intake flows less then 150cfm. Aftermarket heads flow well over 200cfm... That's a BIG restriction.
The cam should be done last to maximize the entire combo.
I'd save up & do it all at once. Why haste $$$ on the gaskets. You'd be wasting even more if you paid someone to do the swap.

If your are going to get a cam you may as well get a Bcam since it's way better than the E and it is still smog legal. Many people on here would tell you to get some AFR heads and then get and intake of your choice, anything except for edelbrock performer. That's where you'll get what you want. [patriot]

the edelbrock heads (performer) can be very capable in the right hands.

Glenn on the corral ran 11.72 @ 115 in a box-stock edelbrock performer rpm heads, baby crower cam, and edelbrock performer rpm intake combo (heads and intake box-stock).
All this on a high mileage stock 302 shortblock.

His car weighs 3100#'s with cage/driver and has a full drag suspension.

The flow #'s aren't everything, obviously.

you seem to have started off on the right foot in getting some input on this board, especially from 93 pony and shade tree...they know their shit! save yourself some money and collect parts and do everything at once. if you the "improvement" will seem that much greater. but in the mean time, all the things jayl mentioned seem like a pretty good plan -they are simple. gears are a must -if you dont have them yet. perhaps some adjustable rear control arms would be good too!

i think the b is one down (not up) from the e. i like the e-cam because it lopes a little more, but not a crazy stupid lope. i know many many people that have passed smog with the e-cam, if not more radical. im sure if you ask around, you'll find a hookup somewhere on smog.
