It’s just on low/empty. I checked all the fuses (I was told that might be it) and there all good. Any clues on to what is wrong? And yes I do have oil thank you very much . Should I just change the gauge cluster? Will a 97Cobra one work on my 96GT? [ September 21, 2002, 06:11 PM: Message edited by: AZTECLX ]

You have oil, but do you have oil pressure? How about SUFFICIANT oil pressure? You might want to doule check before you continue. You may want to check the sedning unit and all connections that lead to it. If that is all good keep looking for more issues. If you do for whatever reason decide to replace the guage cluster, BE CAREFUL. Understand that it can be taken as mileage adjustment, which can look like fraud. DMV and state of california frown on that in a legal manner if you know what I mean. When I worked for ford, we changed a few clusters, BUT, they were sent from ford, with a notation on the back of the cluster, and attached to the vin for records of the change. Along with this new cluster was the CORRECT milage that the car had. This was all part of the legal process we had to go through. So anyway, save yourself the hassle first and try to find other issues first.....just my $.02

Ok..so it’s not the sending unit. I just installed a new one and that didn’t work. What could it be?
