I run 245 50 16s on mine and have no problem with them. They're almost an inch wider and much cheaper than the 225 55s. The nice thing about the 245s is they're almost the exact same size (within a couple of mm) so they won't change the speedo at all. However, each tire manufacture may have a different height for the same size tire.
