I'm trying to install an amp in my 1990 GT, but I am stuck on how to get the ground to the battery. Where do I run it through the firewall?

Unless you're isolating noise problems, ground the amp to the cassis.

I messed up. I meant that I need to run the power to the battery, not the ground. The amp is grounded already, I just need to get through the firewall.

Feed it through the edge of a rubber boot of an existing hose/wire, ect going through the firewall. Don't forget to FUSE the power wire as close as you can to the possitive battery terminal.

There is a boot up under the dash on the driver side. Feed it through that hole. Then just run the power lead along the carpet line under the plastic door jam and back under the seat. Its a 5 minute job. Like 5150 said, dont forget to run a fuse up near the battery.
