This is kinda expensive, but the place behind Sac mustang did a sweet job on one a while back, he races up at Sac raceway,so i looked into for my 98 Slug, parts and labor would be close to 4 G's the shop said! [Eek!]

While your doin that might as well put some headers on it too! After that bolt on and some slicks you would be doin low 13's easy! [Big Grin]

If you're planning on keeping your car...and if you ever want to get out of the 14's, you will need to do the headswap...

for 4 grand you'd be better off selling your car and getting a 99-up GT...

I know of a place where you can get bare 99 up heads for about $330 or so. You can get a Mod Max "9000 rpm" valve train for under $600 shipped (ask for TK at pro power in FL) ask if you need the #.Also can have heads assembled and polished with a 3 angle valve job for $325

Ok, I bought a set of PI heads, but I need the new valves, rr's, full hardware, gaskets, and I am looking for Hot cams. Any of you guys know where to find these things? Also what are you thoughts about the new FMS high flow upper for the 4.6. It goes to a cobra TB but it is not a bullitt upper. Anyone know anything about this part yet?

For my car. Spring. I want to take my time. Do everything right. So I am trying to line up all the parts before I start. My goal is to break 12's on a 281 2v n/a. No power adders at all. But I have been think lately about stroking the motor. Has anyone done this to a 281 yet? Was it good or bad? I saw kits to stroke it up to a 302. I am kinda curious how they would work. It would be kinda cool to say it's a 302 2v. [Big Grin]

That intake I was looking at Steeda lists in there catalog flow 50% better that the original intake. I have the part number but, the catalog is in the other car. So I will post the specs for the intake and part numbers later.

I NOW HAVE A 285CI 2V. U CAN STROKE A 4.6 ALL THE WAY UP TO A 318 BUT I DONT THINK U WOULD WANT TO GO THAT HIGH. I SEEN STROKER KITS IN THE 5.O MAGS. MINE IS A 285 BECAUSE IT IS BORED 20 OVER.IF U WANT I COULD HOOK U UP WITH THE GUY WHOS BUILDING MY MOTOR.HE COOL AND HE KNOWS WHAT HES DOING, AND HES SAYIN I SHOULD GO LOW 12'S N/A
NO PROBLEM. [Big Grin]
