Let's say you are building an engine and are ready to drop it in the car. Can you install the headers on the engine and then put the engine with headers in all at once? or do you have to install the headers once the motor is in the car? This applies for both shorties and longtubes. Thanks

I just put the headers on and drop it in.
With the exception of AOD cars and long tubes or custom race headers.
1 3/4 bbk long tubes go in fine attached to the motor on a T-5 car

With shorties I just bolt them up to the heads with the motor out of the car and then install the motor. You cannot do this with any longtubes i've seen.
