One of his reponses

"Dont even bother rebuilding that Tbird rear end. Probably NOTHING wrong with it in the first place. Tbirds and their whimpy little 4 bangers NEVER could develop enough grunt to even put any wear the 8.8 rear ends that came in them. Just bolt the succa in and jam on."

LMFAO

Ignorent people are funny

no offense Luke, this isn't directed at you, but that guy is a TOTAL ASSET to the corral.

flame the crap out of him and it pisses him off.
I have used his advice over and over again and point of fact HE KNOWS HIS SHIT

ignore the little idiosyncracies and he can really help out.

please don't flame the crap out of him. He stopped posting like over a year ago because of that kind of stuff.

think of him as an idiot savant. In one area he's brilliant (fixing stangs). In all others (relations, communications) he's kind of a failure.

ah well, please don't flame the crap out of him is all I ask. he's there when you need him.

I tend to agree with that T-bird comment. Feel free to disagree, but my T-bird rear end (from an '88) has been used by the original owner for over 100k, run about 100x down the strip by a dude with an 11 second car, and then driven about 10k miles and 100x down the strip in my car, and it still leaves solid 2-wheel peels.

If there's a less abused 8.8 rear that is an easy swap into a stang than the t-bird rear, and that comes with a nice gearset and rear discs, I'd like to hear it!

I should probably delete this thread.
It seems people tend to prefer HATING on people versus LISTENING.

Leave the thread up, I enjoyed reading it. The guys knows his mustangs, so people should just learn to accept the technical advice and ignore his ignorant comments.

Joe, that was in no way a flame. I'm just stating my experience and having a lil fun with him. I prefer his type of personality on the corral than someone like KIM for example. Kim reminds me of that neighbor guy on Home Improvement [Big Grin]
Luke

By the way Joe... Where can I find a coupe like yours? I sold my 87, and have been searchin and searchin for a coupe. Everything out there is either beat to the ground or overpriced.

For example...
http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/vdetail.jtmpl?car_id=102540578&dealer_id=&max_price=8000&start_year=1992&end_year=1993&address=94564&search_type=used&make=FORD&model=MUST&min_price=6800&distance=75&advcd_on=n&advanced=n&color=&car_year=1993

are you facking kidding me! $7700 for a 122K 10 year old mustang that's been beat on by the police for 100K miles or more. I'd consider that car for $5K tops! I'm willing to spend more, but the car has to have low miles and be prestine.
Luke

I found mine on autotrader after a 1-2 year search. If you're diligent, the coupes will pop up on there. Plan on driving to LA to grab it. They seem to come up like weeds around there.

thanks for being not incredibly rude (to the incredibly rude) THE50SHOP. he has gotten me out of plenty of binds.

serves up the straight-dope, wholesale [Big Grin]
