The kits are safe, and will supply power, unlike NOS and others, which you have to search for a "secret" tune to make the power they say. I get 300 to install them. Very clean install, and will show you how to tune it. I would say about 25 bucks. I do most of my business from back East. I believe the TPI kit is a single nozzle, mounted in front of the throttle body. They are way better then the plates. NX does have a new style for the LT1 and LS1.
